Pitchers and Catchers Report

What are the four best words that you can hear in the month of February?

See above.

As a longtime fan of the Cleveland Indians, I look forward to spring training after a long, cold winter. With this week's snowstorm that dumped 16 inches of snow on my fair city, looking forward to spring takes on a whole new meaning. Our last day above 32 degrees was about four weeks ago...and we have been in a deep freeze ever since.

My wonderful wife, the lovely and talented Kimberly, talked to me last night about possibly going to Florida the last week of March for spring training. I don't think we can afford it this year...besides, I want to save our money and have a blowout trip to Arizona in two years when the Indians move their spring training to the West Valley/Phoenix suburb of Goodyear.

It took me several years to get Kim interested in baseball. Generally, she is not a sports fan, but has developed an interest in the Tribe.

The best question you can ask in Cleveland in February is "When does the equipment truck leave for Winter Haven?" (or after 2009, Goodyear).

Go Tribe!
